A Caterpillar

"Children are caterpillars and adults are butterflies. No butterfly ever remembers what it felt like being a caterpillar."  (Cornelia Funke)

Flowers for my Sister

"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost."  (Marion C. Garretty)

Whenever I think of her, I feel like coming  back in time. And especially today :) Happy Birthday, Sister !

10 Years on the Island...

"The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it.  This is the day your life really begins." (Bob Moawad)

Anyways, such decision has been made long time ago. And today it's nice to have another tree to lean on.   ;-)   Love You.

Message to my Friends

"Love begins by taking care of the closest ones - the ones at home."  (Mother Teresa)

Yes, this is my Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year greeting. I will take my time off. Sharing everything with the ones who's next to me is important, hope for you also. Meanwhile enjoy the holidays time with some pictures from my island. The Canarians are setting up the Nativity scenes and singing, but I will celebrate in my own way, embracing the Nature and enjoying the Life's victory over the darkness . Especially because this is the time when Earth is waking up here. See You next year!

9th of May

This day resounds in a triple echo in my memories -  the Victory Day, my Father's birthday and the day my Sister was born... Unfortunately, that's only what is left. The memories. The death of the Soviet Union killed the necessity to celebrate 9th of May. My Father is resting in peace many years already. And my Sister, she's so far away! Luckily I still have her...  But can you imagine how it was for my Father, having his first child on his own birthday, celebrating the Victory Day? So let it be, the triple celebration  in a honor of the Life's Victory! Happy Birthday, Drakoša!

That's her, my diligent modest Sister www.drakonolizdas.blogspot.com

Wall Pictures

I used to draw on the walls when I was a kid. And later a writting of short messages came along... But my  Mother was  the happy one :) A disturbed childhood?  No! A freedom!   That's why I like graffiti. Like a time-machine, it brings me back...
P.S. Mom, I didn't draw this one! I swear!!!

My Big Boy

Today is my baby-boy's birthday!  He turns 8, so he  is not so little anymore... It seems that at the moment we become parents the time stops. It's very hard to understand how did the children became big so fast, because it looks  like everything happened only yesterday, or maximum a few months ago... And here we go, instead of cute helpless baby there is a nice independent boy... Happy Birthday, my Son!

Birds' lesson

Yesterday  this little fellow was kicked out of the nest, by own parents. The first reaction seeing it - what a horror!  But when this helpless creature was trying to hide from the camera, barely spreading his little wings, the parent showed up. Observing the situation from a  respectful distance.  Teaching me the biggest lesson!.. Of showing how to dig for the food instead of stuffing it into the mouth. Of understanding the importance to make the wings stronger before the flight. Of respecting your childs' attempt  to the independence...
